BOC confiscates P76.8-M Discaya-owned vehicles — Palace

AS part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s anti-corruption campaign, the Bureau of Customs confiscated a total of P76.8 million worth of vehicles owned by the Discaya contractor-couple, and successfully sold a luxury vehicle for close to P30 million that will go to the national treasury, a Palace official said.

Castro said the BOC successfully auctioned last Wednesday the 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan owned by Pacifico and Cezarah Discaya for P29.02 million.

The winning bidder said he wanted to own the luxury vehicle in order to preserve its “historical value”, including the infamous umbrella.

Castro said the BOC will release another auction schedule for the next offering of the confiscated Discaya-owned luxury vehicles.

The successful confiscation and auction were the result of President Marcos’ relentless effort to recover money lost to corruption in connection with the implementation of flood-control projects.

PCO
