Life can be hard. And at some point, we all reach a stage where we strive for a life of ease, even if it comes at a cost.

Andy Maqondwana recently tackled the subject of paying for convenience on her show, Feel Good.

“You know, you reach a time in your life where you actually just strive for a convenient and easy life. You just need a life of ease, and at any cost,” Andy said.

She joked that maybe you’re the kind of person who now buys pre-cut vegetables because, really, who has the time to chop onions?

“Just chop my onions up and then tell me how much it is, thank you,” she added.

Andy then posed the question: what do you now pay for that the younger you would judge you for?

A listener called in to share that because of her height, she used to cut and sew her own pants. These days, however, she takes them straight to her tailor, Paul, even though it costs her R200.

Other listeners also shared their stories, listing tasks like washing dishes, ironing, doing laundry, undoing hair, washing cars, and cleaning sneakers as things they now happily pay others to do.

Do you pay for convenience or ease?
