THE LONG-AWAITED revamped FIFA Club World Cup is just a matter of days away. The tournament has been going for 25 years, but it has never been as big or as exciting as it is this year.
The new format will see the competition run from June 14th to July 13th in the United States, and will see 32 of the best teams in the world come together to determine which is the best on the planet right now.
The tournament will follow the same format as the World Cup, with eight groups of four competing before heading into a single game knockout stage.
The likes of PSG, Real Madrid, and Manchester City are heavily fancied by the bookies, but what do our team of betitng experts here at The Irish Sun think? Keep reading this Club World Cup tips and betting guide to find out.

Inter Milan to reach the quarter-finals
Inter Milan will be looking to bounce back quickly from their 5-0 Champions League final humiliation against PSG, and a relatively easy group stage should allow them to hit the ground running.
River Plate will present the biggest challenge in the group for Christian Chivu’s side, with Monterrey and Urawa Red Diamonds making up the numbers. After winning the group, a tie with Fluminense is likely to stand between them and the quarter-finals. While the Brazilian outfit is not going to be a pushover, Inter should have too much for them, making a bet on them reaching the quarter finals at evens with bet365 a very attractive prospect.
I would also consider looking at Borussia Dortmund to reach the quarter-finals. They are available at the same price and are likely to get through their group before encountering River Plate in the round of 16. They will have too much for the Argentinians but could come unstuck in the quarters against Real Madrid.

Highest scoring team – Bayern Munich
The highest scoring team market presents some really interesting options for punters, but it is Bayern Munich who get our nod here. Vincent Kompany’s team has one of the easier groups, which should give them plenty of opportunity to get their goal tally up early. They netted 99 goals in 34 games this season, which should be enough to leave any defence quaking in their boots. They are favourites in this market for a reason, and we think there is value in backing them at 2/1 with SBK.

Palmeiras to win Group A
Unsurprisingly, UEFA clubs are the favourites to win each of their respective groups, but we feel as though there is a very good chance for Palmerias to ruin that in Group A. Porto are the favourites for the group, but they arrive in the tournament off the back of a very underwhelming domestic campaign. While they finished the season in good form, they finished 11 points off league winners Sporting, and were also fairly underwhelming in Europe.
Palmerias arrive on a strange run of form, sitting two points off the top of the Brazilian league and losing just two of their last 18 games. If there is going to be an upset in the group stages, this could well be it. You can back Palmerias to win at 9/5 with Spreadex.

Cole Palmer for most assists
We’re rounding off our betting tips with our most ambitious shout: Cole Palmer to bag the most assists at 33/1 with bet365. Palmer had a sluggish second half to the season at Stamford Bridge, but showed that he was more than capable of rising to the occasion when needed, bagging two assists in Chelsea’s 4-1 Europa League Conference final win against Real Betis. Chelsea has a great opportunity to hit the ground running in this tournament, coming up against Flamengo, ES Tunis, and Los Angeles FC. A quick look at international tournaments shows that many of the top scorers and assist-makers end up racking up their tallies in the early stages, and at 33/1, Palmer is well worth a punt with bet365.
Tip Cole Palmer for Most Assists at 33/1 with bet365
Club World Cup top goalscorer
Unsurprisingly, it is the men most would consider the three best strikers in the world right now who dominate the Club World Cup top goalscorer markets: Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, and Harry Kane.
Kane offers excellent value and comes into the tournament on good form, having netted six in his last nine games in the Bundesliga and scored twice in England’s last two matches. He is available at 7/1 with bet365, which is extremely attractive. He will come up against Auckland, Boca Juniors, and Benfica in the group stage, which should present him with the chance to rack up the goals early doors.
Haaland spent a period of time on the sidelines towards the end of this season, only returning for City’s final four games. He has bagged two goals for Norway in his two outings, though, including a goal in their 3-0 victory over Italy. He is priced at 6/1 with BetVictor, which is also extremely attractive if he can rediscover his early-season form.
Finally, Mbappé is the favourite. The Frenchman comes into the tournament on an excellent run of form, having scored ten in his last six games for Real Madrid, wrapping up a dominant first season at the Bernabeu. He will face Al Hili, Pachuca, and RB Salzburg in the group stage and aim to continue his impressive form. His best price is also 6/1 with Spreadex, which also presents excellent value.
All three of these could be worth a punt at their current odds, but I would lean more towards Mbappé given his current form, with Kane being my second pick.
If I were looking for an outsider, Serhou Guirrasay from Dortmund offers good value at 12/1 with BetVictor. Dortmund face three non-UEFA sides in the group stage, and he finished the season in fine form, bagging nine in his last ten games.

Club World Cup to reach the final
The team to reach the final market has a number of attractive selections. We foresee a semi-final showdown between Man City and Bayern Munich, pitting Pep Guardiola against his former Man City captain, Vincent Kompany. City are currently priced at 5/2 with BetVictor to reach the final, while Bayern are available at 10/3. City will be desperate to get their hands on some gold after their first trophyless season since 2016/17, while Kompany will want to outwit his former manager. We lean slightly towards Man City here, but both teams present great value and are worth considering at their prices.

2025 Club World Cup winner
Real Madrid are the favourites for the competition, but right now, I find it hard to look past PSG. Luis Enrique’s men will be full of confidence following what was arguably the most dominant Champions League win of all time, and at 5/1 with talkSPORT BET, they offer fantastic value.
The European champions will likely come up against Real Madrid in the semi-finals, but we think Enrique’s team will have the better of their Spanish rivals. Xabi Alonso has had little time to prepare for the tournament, and while Madrid are undoubtedly an excellent side, Enrique’s knowledge of his squad and his side’s momentum make them a much more attractive opposition to win the tournament, especially at 5/1.
