The Bray-native has a long month ahead of her in preparation for her fight with Amanda Serrano

Taylor is preparing for her historic trilogy fight with Amanda Serrano on July 11 in Madison Square Garden.

Despite Taylor being 2-0 up in the trilogy, bookmakers have made Serrano out to be the favourite going into the fight.

But first she has an announcement to make to her fans via Instagram and it has fans speculating.

One fan commented “She’s going to announce she’s gonna run for presidency of Ireland, she’s got my vote.”

Another speculated: “I think she’s going to announce retirement after her next fight.”

But the general consensus from the comment section is that a Croke Park fight might be on the cards.

Taylor has also shared well-received clips of her fight preparation on the punching bag to her fans on Instagram.

With potentially the biggest fight of Taylor’s career coming up in July, the announcement will be much anticipated.

KT will take on her old foe for a historic pay day when the rivals headline an all-women’s boxing card in the iconic New York arena.

The event, promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, will be streamed live on Netflix.

The pair’s first clash in April 2022 made history as the first women’s fight to headline MSG, earning global acclaim and winning Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year and The Ring’s Event of the Year for 2022.

Their rematch at AT&T Stadium in November 2024, streamed on Netflix, shattered records with 74 million average viewers globally, becoming the most-watched women’s sporting event in U.S. history.

Taylor sits in second just ahead of Serrano in third on the ESPN’s pound for pound list and has been backed by rivals to beat Serrano again.

The all-women’s boxing card took a hit over the weekend as a fighter pulled out due to pregnancy.

Dina Thorslund has had to withdraw from her title unification bout against IBF bantamweight holder Shurretta Metcalf.

The unified bantamweight champ revealed that she is expecting her second child, while she has relinquished her WBO title.

It will be reigning WBA holder Cherneka Johnson taking Thorslund’s place in the bout.
